Once you have completed your application form, you must download the following information in PDF format:

  • Presentation of the project (provide the conceptual description of the work you plan to create, the description of the creation process with the software and hardware to be used, digital processes, etc., detailed budget, technical sheet on the final assembly of the work along with an illustration detailing this assembly)
  • Motivation letter
  • Artistic Curriculum Vitae (2000 characters max.)
  • Portfolio with pictures and descriptions of the legend, as well as a brief description of the most representative works you carried out during the last 2 years, along with the corresponding technical sheet (technology used, artistic concept, exhibitions carried out) for each of them.
  • A sworn statement on the original and unpublished nature of the proposal

To convert your Word, Excel, Photoshop and other files in PDF format, you need to do the following: right click on your file, click on “Save as”, select the desired location of your file in your computer and specify (* .PDF) – below the name of your file.

All artistic disciplines are eligible as long as the creative process involves the use of digital technology. If you have any questions about your work, please send an email via the contact page.

Artists may use any type of digital technology or device. The final format can be made in traditional fashion (printed or otherwise) but contestants must justify the intervention of digital technology in its creative process.

The project selected by the jury will be announced, no later than November 15 2017.

An e-mail notification will be sent to the award winner and to the artists selected for the exhibition that will be held at the awards ceremony in Dakar, Senegal.

The project proposals as well as the works presented on each artist’s portfolio by will be examined first by a selection committee. Subsequently, this selection will be entrusted to a jury.

The selection committee as well as the jury is composed of specialists in art and technology, including artists, curators, writers, art critics, developers, coming from Africa and other parts of the world.

Their names will be made known through this website. The jury’s decision is final.
